So I heard that Sand & Salsa formerly known as Nostalgia Steak & Seafood Miller Beach , formerly known as Miller Beach Cafe had their soft opening today and I had to go check it out. The menu is quite extensive. Their small Margarita (I had a Mango) was HUGE and delicious and I'm tipsy. The chicken empanadas, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and chicken alfredo was tender where it needed to be, chrispy where it needed to be and just immaculately seasoned to perfection. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly. (I did see a lot of the previous staff there which was really cool) The owners also own El Poblano Mexican and Seafood Restaurant in Merrilville and you can tell they are NOT new to this. If this is just a soft opening we have a LOT to look forward to! So glad we have a fine dining option for Taco Tuesday in the community again because almost NOTHING is open in 46403 on Tuesday Nights. AND they are open at 11am for some yummy huevos rancheros and Margaritas 🙌. Sand & Salsa is a great. The salsa for the chips were good; the mild was chunky and the hot had some kick to it. I ordered the carnitas burrito dinner everyone else had the taco dinner. My wife got the frozen margarita. She is still enjoying that..lol. Our server Mariela or Mariah, was very friendly and attentive. She didn’t have a problem finding the answers for some of our questions either. Will definitely be back.

Had the best shrimp and scallops I have ever tasted, clean fun atmosphere and our waitress Destani was amazing! Had a blast on my birthday! Recommend it any occasion!

A great spot for delicious tacos and more. The service was excellent and the servers are friendly. The manager checked on us to be sure everything was okay. The drink menu is extensive. This place will fit in well with the beach crowd.

Finally checked this place out on a Friday 8pm. Gotta say it did not disappoint! Salsa was perfect for me. Margaritas were damn good. Food was served promptly & was excellent. Our service was exceptional. Looking forward to going back & having a Margarita on the patio.
